Privacy Policy
What we collect when you shop with Gargaeyi, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Gargaeyi is an online store for handcrafted Indian clothing. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you browse our site, create an account, or place an order. If anything here is unclear, write to us from the Contact page.
What we collect
Account details: your name, email address and password (stored securely by our sign-in provider — we never see your password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. Order details: the items you buy, your delivery address and phone number, any measurements you give us for a custom fit, and the open-box videos or photos you send with an exchange request. Payment details: payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and reference, never your full card, UPI or bank details.
How we use it
To make and deliver your order, handle exchanges, send you order and delivery updates by email, answer your questions, prevent fraud, and keep our accounts and tax records. We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
Who we share it with
Only what each partner needs to do their part: our payment provider (Razorpay) to take payment; our courier partners (through Shiprocket) your name, address and phone number to deliver or collect a parcel; and the services that host our website, database and email. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work — to keep you signed in, remember your bag and favourites, and keep checkout secure. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. Exchange videos and photos are kept until the exchange is closed and any dispute window has passed. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update your addresses and order history in your account. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account — except records we must keep by law. You can withdraw any consent you’ve given. Write to us from the Contact page and we’ll reply within 30 days.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and access to customer data is limited to the staff who need it to fulfil orders. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page. Significant changes will also be shown on the site or emailed to account holders.
